Tamara Kozak

Graduate of Ivan Franco National University of Lviv.(1984). She defended the dissertation on regionalism and regionalization in the UK and obtained her PhD degree  in political science (political institutions and processes) in 2003. Since 2008-an associate professor of Lviv University, faculty of International Relations.

Research areas of interest: regionalism, regionalization, relationship between language and politics, reasons for a language acquiring the status of lingua franca, the development of English as a lingua franca, language competition, linguistic regionalism, the emergence of world Englishesand “hybrid language” of globalization.
