Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Scienceof Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (Ukraine); holds BA and MA degrees in Political Science from Ivan Franko National University of Lvivwith the diploma researches devoted to parties and electoral systems in the V4 countries and Ukraine, MA degree in Jurisprudence from the same university. Currently a post-graduate student at the Department of Political Science of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and works on a thesis devoted to features and effects of local elections in the Visegrad Group countries. In parallel, Oleksandra Cholovska is an analyst of the Lviv Regulatory Hub. She is a graduate of the Eastern European Center for Multiparty Democracy and a participant in trainings and schools on project management and policy analysis. Previously previously involved in the investment policy department of the Lviv Regional State Administration (Ukraine). Author of about10 scientific researches.
The main scientific publications: The historical and transformational preconditions and peculiarities of the electoral systems’ formation at the local level in the modern countries of the Visegrad group (2017), Theoretical and methodological features and components of comparative analysis of the electoral systems’ functioning at the local level(2017), Electoral systems at the local level: a comparative analysis on the example of Poland and the Czech Republic (2017), Administrative reform as a factor in the formation of a modern electoral system at the local level in the Czech Republic(2017) and Political and legal parameters of electoral systems at the local level in the Visegrad Group countries (2018).
Research interests: concern regulatory policy of local governments and inventory issues. engaged in coaching practice and consulting in the field of suffrage and the electoral process; coordinated and implemented projects in the fields of academic and civic education, science and democracy development. The main research interests of the researcher are comparative political science, political institutions, parties and party systems, elections and electoral systems, administrative-territorial system, civil society, the V4 countries.
